This place is just spectacular and a MUST visit if you’re in the area. The food is off the scale… absolutely amazing!!! The lady who bakes, and creates recipes, really doesn’t know just how good she is!!! And her partner is the best host! They are the dream team! They deserve your custom… you will not be disappointed! What matters is: Judite knows her cakes - and has the audacity to reimagine them. Port wine cake? Why not! Carrot cake with red fruit cream filling? Jawohl! (Drauf muss man erst kommen! And she did.) But the show-stealer is her banoffee.
They do cake, sure - but they also do you. Vegan? Gluten-free? Lactose-intolerant? Emotionally unavailable? No one’s judging. Most of the menu leans vegetarian, but they’ll accommodate whatever diet, phase, or identity crisis you’re in. No eye-rolling, no drama. Just quiet competence and cake.
I usually pop in for a coffee and a slice of something, but I’ve had lunch here too. The daily menu is solid - simple, fresh, and clearly made by someone who still likes cooking. You can sit inside, but the move is the terrace out back. It’s calm, leafy, and feels like you’ve stumbled into someone’s secret garden. One where the owner bakes, doesn’t judge, and might be hiding from society. Relatable.- Group size

I came here to eat a piece of cake and ended up ordering three 🙈 Amazing cakes and fantastic music. For me it jumped to the first place among cake shops in Matosinhos. Also vegan cakes available.

Stopped here for a Friday lunch on a sunny January afternoon and the plate of the day was vegetarian Feijoada, which I ordered - absolutely delicious! It was delightful to eat on the back patio - so peaceful and pleasant. I wish I had time to enjoy dessert and coffee because Ju de Ló makes all of their desserts and baked goods from scratch and there was a rather large selection. We discovered that restaurant on Google Map. The food was super tasty - we had a brunch on a sunny Sunday, and stayed in the back garden. Service was not necessarily rapid, but we were there to relax, so not a problem for us. Prices are higher than other places though.

Great Food. Healthy, vegan, tasty, creative 😃 and really fair pricing. Also cake and coffee were outstanding 💪🏽
Very cute and affordable little bistro run by a few very friendly ladies, offering very tasty homemade vegetarian and vegan food and a tempting array of cakes. I wanted to try them all but had to settle with one.

A wonderful place! 🙌🏼 small and cute They have really delicious food for a super fair price. I'd definitely go again. I recommend it to all vegans searching for animal friendly food in Matosinhos. It's a calm area not very touristic in a side street. Extra points for that. The service was excellent 💯👏 Thank you ❤
Cosy and friendly coffee place, a few meters away from the beach, with a delicious variety of cakes and pastries to enjoy. Very good option for people searching for vegan/vegetarian options too. I recommend.

If you go further inside the place, there's a very nice open sky area. The food is great at a fair price. And the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!
